Fast Power, Stable Grid: Cubenergy Supports Finland Grid Resilience

Cubenergy’s 6.4MW/12.032MWh BESS Project

Location: Paloasemantie 13, 91100 II, Finland

Service Portfolio: Frequency Regulation

Cubenergy is set to deliver a 6.4MW/12.032MWh BESS project in Finland aimed at providing critical grid frequency regulation services. The project will participate in both Fast Frequency Reserve (FFR) and Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) markets, supporting the Nordic region’s efforts to maintain grid stability amid the rapid growth of renewable energy.

As Finland accelerates its transition toward a carbon-neutral energy system, the integration of intermittent renewable energy sources such as wind and solar poses increasing challenges to grid stability. This BESS project will play a key role in mitigating the variability of renewable generation, helping to balance real-time fluctuations in supply and demand. Our BESS solutions will offer rapid response capabilities to manage frequency deviations and provide fast-acting reserves that are essential for maintaining grid reliability. Through high-performance technology and intelligent control systems, the project will enhance grid flexibility, resilience, and operational stability, contributing to Finland’s long-term energy transition goals.
